On October 10-14, Paris’ highest hill of Montmartre (Paris 18) will celebrate its local wine on the occasion of the 79th Montmartre Grape Harvests Festival. Since 1934, in October, Montmartre celebrates for 5 days and offers the 3rd most popular Parisian event of the year, gathering more than 500,000 visitors.
This year again, many activities celebrating Montmartre, Paris and France’s wines, gastronomy, and culture will be organized. On this occasion the committee of the Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre chose the 2012 French Eurovision representative Anggun as the Godmother of the whole event. Anggun stated how honored she feels. She is indeed a wine amateur and she feels proud to be part of such a traditional celebration which generated funds will be dedicated to charities.
